Which is why it's good to have a Mom Friend, because while con fever is almost inevitable, having a Mom Friend making sure everyone (including themselves) stays fed and hydrated makes it a lot less nasty. Plus a one day con will have less recovery from con fever time than, say, the big ones. Comiccon, katsucon, etc
Toracon is a weekend (plus badge pickup Friday, if you so wish), so a day to recover is about all that's needed. Unless you actually got hurt. Like my one friend twisted her ankle the day before and still went, con fever got her hard
The shallow scratches were gone after a few days. The two or three that were deeper needed a bit more time, but none of them were scarring
