My pictures don't turn out as well as what I see through the camera lens- haven't learned to use it properly yet!

i have a digital camera in the shape of a DSLR-- its pretty limited in uses other than looking badass ^^;
oh, but during CNY my friend brought sparklers to our house and i was able to take some long exposure shots of them writing in the air with the sparklers~

Long exposures on things like sparklers and fireworks are always so--magical! No one can see a pix like that and not take a second look.

agreed! my sis took a time-lapse burst of photos of the sparklers (im not sure how you call it) and its kinda like a stop-motion vidya, its super neat.

that is so cool! I would never have thought of that! It makes me want to try it! but it looks difficult to get without blurring the picture

you should definitely try it! i really suggest
1) having more than 1 person doing the sparklers
2) choosing a very dark place to shoot
3) preparing LOADS of sparklers

we wasted many photos because we took it in a brightly lit area T__T

as long as you can keep still, its fun!
