Sorry it has made you sick ... don't you have an option not to work (or not to answer your phone or texts?)

I mean, I can call out, but I don't want to get pointed for it, even though I do have points to spare. And I don't want to use my PTO, which they will use if I have any if I call out. I'm trying to save them up, I'm planning a weeklong vacation in February for my bday and I want to have more time to spare after I use those 40 hours. I can save up to like 3 weeks or something like that.

Keep that vacation in the front of your mind & keep reminding yourself that is what you are aiming for then to help you get through the rougher days... sometimes a goal helps offset having to endure thigns we'd rather not do.

Going to go away or a stay cation & do something around where you live? 3 weeks is nice!

I'm not doing a whole 3 weeks, I don't even have 2 weeks worth of vacation time. I'm planning a trip to Gatlinburg with friends for a couple pf days and then the remainder at home.

It took me about a year to get enough for 2 weeks of vacation time, they accumulate rather slowly.

My work is on a point system. Come in late, miss a day, or no call no show, I get pointed. Run out of points, I can get fired. Usually, workplaces would add points and if you accumulate so many points, you're fired. My job, you start with like 65 points or something and if you run out of points, you're fired. They're pretty lenient, but I still try to not get pointed for anything.

Gatlinburg looks fabulous! Is it a state park?

Are they called smoky mountains because of literal smoke?

No, it's the fog that gives them the smoky look. All the trees, bushes, and other plant life on the mountains give off vapor which accumulates together as fog.

I've only seen the first

It was good, I just don't like that level of violence and crude humor

Gah, calorie deficit is definitely something to get used to.

Here's what my days look like for the most part, if you're interested. (I don't eat breakfast. I wake up at 11 and go to lunch.)
