I'm looking forward to watching the new deadpool movie, heard it was good.

Good you are keeping under 2000 calorie diet!

Keep it up! :cheer:

I can only tell you what works for me as far as weight loss & keeping it off ... eating very little carbs ( I rarely do pasta or breads etc, I had some pizza the first time in months) and reducing fat in take ( so no fried foods, just grilled or baked & no breading). Lots of salad with minimal dressing (although there are some yummy low carb dressings available, like the olive garden Italian brand) & I snack on a variety of nuts. Pistachio's are really good for you.

I like veggies but not all of them agree with me so I can only eat select ones.

I just read that for inflammation & cancer risk the study advises no more than 55 mgs of sugar a day!! That is so hard to do!

Wrong, you DO est breakfast

It's just that your breakfast is also your lunch

Breakfast means you're "breaking your fast"

Said fast ix the time you haven't eaten while sleeping

As soon as you eat after sleeping, doesn't matter how quickly or slowly you get to it, doesn't matter the time of day/night, you are breaking your fast

Therefore, your lunch is also your breakfast

I mean, yeah, technically. But I don't eat your typical breakfast foods.... usually. It's rare that I do.

I make breakfast my biggest meal of the day. It was odd at first, but it makes total sense. I used to eat dinner as my biggest meal--so many reasons why it's counterproductive.

Breakfast is my biggest meal because my breakfast is my family's dinner

My parents got a new dog. A shih tzu. She's very timid and still scared of everyone but my mom, who went and got her. It's been 2 days and my dad already told me "we may not keep ger. She's too nervous around everyone but your mom." Like, geez, give the dog time to trust everyone else! If you can't be patient enough to give the dog who is in a new environment around strangers time to trust everyone, maybe you shouldn't have gotten another dig.

It just bothers me. That idea of not keeping her foe that reason shouldn't be a thought 2 days in. She was rescued from a puppy mill to a shelter, where my mom got her. She was most likely not treated well at the puppy mill. You don't take in a rescue if you can't give them time to build trust.

I agree, that's weird reasoning

Obviously she won't trust you after two days

I don't even trust people after two days of knowing them

He may be thinking about when returns expire?

Dogs are like people, etc., some are broken beyond repair. He's probably thinking about how much work might be needed and that it might not ever be fixable. Maybe he's just prepping fot that possibility. Just a guess...

Either way, 2 days is too soon.

He decided to let my mom make the choice and she's going to keep her. The dog is just scared because she's not familiar with anyone.

Aaaaaand my mom's like "maybe I'll take her back" after finding her scared of other dogs on a walking trail when she's still scared of my dad, my brother, and myself. Baby steps. You gotta get her used to people at home first.

shitsu are so cute!

It does take time for the dog to trust people & if she does trust your Mom that is a good sign. If she was still skiddish around your Mom then it might not be a good match.
How is the dog around you?

She's still scared of me. I just keep petting her when I have the chance. Sometimes I'll sit on the floor with a treat in my hand to encourage her to come up to me, but I don't force it. And I don't chase her down to pet or pick her up. I'm trying my best to get her trust.
