Perhaps its time your brother and his girlfriend were responsible for themselves especially if they are so inconsiderate, maybe your other brother can talk to them.

I don't like having to put my flowers in planters but it is either that or have none and I like to have some. Bulbs can be expensive so I understand how you would want to take them with you.

Pfft... You'd think because of their ages that they would... But they are worse then I am at keeping any kind of money... At least I can say all of my funds go towards bills 95% of the time... But they spend their money on stuff like weed and crap.... And a lot of it... Not to mention they live together so you know, they can split the bills... I live with my other brother but for some reason he doesn't feel any reason to help his little sister out on paying the bills.... So I pay all of them on my own... But even still, if my one brother talked to them about being considerate in the bed room it wouldn't do any good... My other brothers girlfriend is one who has no real respect for herself... She will sit there and talk about having sex with my brother while me and my mom are in the car... That says a lot about a woman these days....

I just packed up 80% of my manga.... One big tote wouldn't hold it all.... Boooo lol. I think I might be able to fit most of my flowers into one tote though. I plan on making layers with the soil with something... Maybe foil.

Mika, the lack of morals these days is very sad. Your Mother really needs to say something though.

If you will be transplanting in a reasonable amount of time, you can just dig up your bulbs and put them in paper bags and transport them that way. Or look up how to store bulbs if it will be longer.

It wouldn't do any good if my mother were to say anything. Besides, for some unknown reason, my mother must love that type of thing because she would replace me with her without batting an eye lash. But you can't change people and how they think or do unless they want to so oh well.

Well I'm hoping it won't be long... But I'm going to have to till up the land when I move to the new place... And my work hours are crazy.... Plus then I'd have to lay my stone work after I've tilled... And then I'd have to make sure all the large clumps of grade are out... Hopefully my brother will help me there since he lectures me about my garden since he is a landscaper.... You've no idea how hard it is just to get him to trim my rose bushes back.... And then to plant in what time I can find. Hopefully get my brother to bring me some mulch and Shazam. But I'm considering buying a bag of fertilizer... Though the ground looks very untouched so I'm not sure if I'd need it....

I hope you get to put a garden in.
I was weeding Saturday, so many weeds...and the ground is so dry and sadly weekends are not our watering days..but it felt good to be out there making some progress. My daffodils are up and my calla lilly's are tall but I am not sure my pink fairies are going to flower because the planter dried out.

Well after I was told that the people were only going to be signing the lease for a year, ive decided to just keep all my plants in totes... no point in going through all the effort of making a new garden if im just going to have to move again in a year...
but i know what you mean! I just weeded my current garden yesterday. I couldnt take it anymore. Though my daffodils are taking forever to bloom... not sure if its because they are repletes or not... And my tulips are all getting buds and should hopefully bloom here soon, hopefully before i move so i can see how my new ones look. Also i finally had some of my peonies winterize, thank goodness. ive been trying for years to get them to grow only to result in failure. thats most of the exciting stuff right now. other than my many varitations of lillies starting to sprout up.

Yeah, I would just put the bulbs in planters then...you can stagger them with bulbs that bloom at different times so that you always have something.

Totes would be cheaper to buy than planters with all the plants that I have. It would have the same effect. Plus when I'm ready to move I can just put the lid back on and go lol. I couldn't tell you how many planters I would need just for my Lillie's xD

mika, by totes do you mean the plastic containers? I can see how that would be cheaper. Hmmm, that's a great idea, maybe I could grow some veggies in some!It would be so much easier to move around if necessary too

Lemon: Yep! That's exactly what I'm talking about lol. In a way, it could almost act like a green house of sorts too with the container to absorb some of the heat since its plastic. And you can get large totes for a lot cheaper than any large planter so its worth it.

Maro: that sounds good! Its always nice to get into a routine of things.
