Must have permit for six months before taking the test. Apparently that happened between my oldest sib's time and our parents', used to be just need permit
Mandatory five hour class for certificate that has one year lifespan
Some states require documentation

That's a lot of requirements! But with safer drivers, do you have less accidents over there then?

Judges toss out tickets or reduce them so people don't care and the police don't bother because ultimately all they're doing is wasting their time

Judge peeps, knock that off. Give the higher fines. The points. Suspensions. Then hey look people will start obeying and less accidents will happen and the state will have to spend less on car accident stupidity

I don't get it...you'd think requiring more to get a license would make for safer drivers.

When you've got a kid taught by a shitty driver they too are shitty and it just becomes a mess
Places like Germany have a shitton of restrictions, like you must be trained by a driving school that must be on the approved list and all sorts of other stuff and they're a lot better

That would make more sense.Car insurance companies should require that so they wouldn't have to pay out so much money...and think of the lives that could be saved.
