I usually don't go to Carl's Jr - partly because I don't agree with their advertisements - but once in awhile I get coupons and forget I am boycotting them.

The soup- looks like the corn chowder that subway makes, which is good by the way.

That's exactly my reason for boycotting them xD
is for their commercials. Also, before the commercial thing, I actually tried working at a Carls JR and the management was pathetic, so I quit pretty quickly.

it is so good
they also serve it with a piece of bread (their bread is fresh baked too) which is like fskdghskg best ever
especially dipping it in the chowder
then I dip my samich in the chowder too

And that's the best, delicious and manageable. Some of the places around work are so pricey but I sometimes split the food with the girl I work with.

I found out I haven't been paid the raise I've been promised
for this position that I've been struggling so much in

Sorry I never made it back to that event thread ;; I kinda died for a bit there

but omg I dropped my phone in a big cold puddle of melted snow today
quickly picked it up and chucked it in the car while swearing at it
and somehow
it's 100% fine and working. Even the sticker I have on it is ok

Though I actually dug up an old couple of contact who might be able to help me. I don't particularly like the person he's kind of... creepy xD but in a harmless way. Idk how to describe him.
But he wants to teach me how to drive and seeing how I have no other way to learn, and that could help me soooooso much. Like I could probably get a $10 ph job immediately if I was able to drive!

what is the minimum wage where you are? I am surprised Kmart isn't paying at least $10/hr. How about those food places you go eat at?

try driving around in an empty parking lot to get the feel of the brakes and turning and parking.does your hubby drive?

I can't get to those places without driving. Husband drives but I can't drive his car because the way it is. I can't explain it, you'd have to drive it to understand.
But anyway the minimum wage just raised to 8.23 here, which is what I'm getting paid.
If I could drive, I'd have a shot at those restaurants, or if those didn't work, I could get a job in a heart beat with my husband and former room mate. Not in a position directly associating with husband ofc that would be a bad idea xDD

I forgot if you said the bus service was very good where you are... but it is always a benefit to drive either way. I know it can be intimidating but don't rush it, look around you and then make your decision.
