i have a friend who doesn't too. When we were highschool, we had to wear a tie. Hers had a stretchable band so she doesn't have to tie and it's ready to wear. lol

We had a lesson on how to tie a tie and I was literally the only kid who could not manage the damn thing
The teacher tried to help and it got snarled all over my hand instead of strangling me for once LOL

Didn't do it all at once and I kept doing other things in the meantime, so if I'd actually focused on just that it likely would've taken less time
