I didn't usually deal with pets, I worked in aquatics, which I'm actually good at, and I did some work in the nursery, which was mostly watering. I hate plants. Except for certain varieties of plants. I did work in pet sometimes when it was busy or to fill someone's position. I really liked the cats, I like the guinea pigs because they scream when you pick them up, which is cute, but, the guinea pigs tend to leave a specific kind of extract all over the fur on the other animals they come in contact with, making the bunnies unpleasant. I never did have to wash that off them, thinking about it.
Also, if you go to a local pet store, and there's dead fish, we know, you can only pay at the register, the plastic lionfish and jellyfish that are in boxes for sale next to the display tank showing some of them, with the writing that they are fake ornaments, are in fact not real lion fish or jellyfish in this freshwater guppy/platy/Molly community tank, but they are plastic.
My favorite thing is when people ask me a question, and then argue with my answer like they already knew.
"My goldfish has spots on his fins" it's a parasite called ich, just increase salinity, tbs of salt per gallon, do this twice daily with a 20% water change and in 2-4 days it should be gone. "It's a freshwater fish the salt will kill it, I need to buy medicine for it. I'll just buy this Superchem Meth Based Ich Killer." Alright I guess. "I want a refund my fish died."
