I shall be on a quest through the grocery stores again...or I may just ask friends to pick me up a few things when they are out...although some items have a limit so that may prove to be difficult.

Hi guys. I'm in the hospital. Admitted 3/16. It will be at least three more days. It was aspiration pneumonia. I'm not allowed food or liquid by mouth and it is very annoying. At least the nurses have figured out how to communicate with me and I'm allowed to sit up during the day. I think we are starting hospice discussions but because of coronavirus it is not really an option.

I really don't know what to say. Will they be able to give you the care you need from home if the hospice isn't an option?

At this point no one knows. We are trying to find a way. Coronavirus going on is unfortunate.

It sounds like you'll tentatively be able to go home in three days--is that right? I'm glad to hear from you, although I'm very sorry that you got aspiration pneumonia--the very thing you didn't want to get! I hope the coughing and other symptoms aren't too hard on you. I know you mentioned how much you dislike all of that.

Yes, the coronavirus is changing everything. I keep hoping most of the changes are overblown so we can quickly get somewhat back to what we considered normal just a few weeks ago.

Did your siblings ever make it back home?

Like many on Windlyn, Vivianne has had to deal with debilitating health issues, she has been a brave soul, taken hold of her own treatment plans and forged ahead into unknown territory. I hope that she can be an inspiration to those in the medical field and those suffering as well...I know she is an inspiration to me, and I haven't even met her in real life!
