Yep. Red is top, yellow middle, and green bottom. He can see yellow, so it's just remembering which is top and bottom.

They used to not allow pilots with colorblindness, but that's changed.

Oh, it’s so simple when you put it like that! I’ve never had someone to ask, so apologies for my curiosity.

Flying seems really complicated. I think there was someone who successfully flew a jet pack a couple months ago. And then I read about a hoverboard?

Also a test of a flying car in Japan.

No apologies necessary. Questions are how we learn! :)

Flying is complex, but I feel it's one of the coolest things humans have come up with so far.

I've seen the jet hoverboard guy on tv. I seem to recall seeing a news blurb that he flew across the English Channel. Pretty crazy and cool at the same time.

Flying cars have always been a dream of "the future." I guess we're almost in the future. ;)

Car insurance payments are going to go to the moon.

Pun intended.

We have those here as well. There’s a fixed color sequence too.

Ugh, construction. They were constantly building on campus while I was in college, and the dust in the air gave me so many problems.

When I was in elementary school, they were expanding one of the elementary wings and adding the entire middle school wing plus auditorium to the high school and they managed to set off the fire alarm in the middle of a blustery November day
They decided to herd us over to the bus garage where we could mash up, get warm out of that icy wind

I understand the precaution, but I hate fire drills. The screeching and flashing lights are awful.

In elementary school, we sometimes were stuck outside in the dead of winter with snow everywhere.

I’m glad you guys were placed somewhere sheltered from the elements.

We never had winter fire drills
Spring and fall, yes, winter no

At the local college it's not the HWONL HWONK HWONK alarm or screeching
It's a spheal that summarizes as get the fuck outta the building the alarm is going off
The flashing is still obnoxious tho, but that's kinda the point

Yeah, and if they have to send us home the busses are RIGHT THERE and they'd load us up inside the bus garage, I'm willing to bet

Local mall that hasn't really been a mall in literal years it's got a few restaurants, JC Penny, lots of offices, and a church. Oh, and a movie theater that's got an entirely separate access point, one day we went in and the alarms were going off. No sirens, just flashing. Mom and I were both "uuuuuuuhhhhhhhh" and then cuz we went in through JC Penny, someone saw us and told us to ignore it, it had been going off for the last few hours and someone was trying to figure out what was setting it off. Good times
Had that at high school once too. Only lasted an hour before it got fixed tho
Also once right as a fire drill ended one of the alarms somehow got set off so we went to go right back out and the principal told us to get in and ignore the dang alarm it was great

Oh she managed to break her back at a homecoming game one year and I didn't hear about it until winter
She's tiny, so she wears high heels all the time, and even with them there are phones where the top of her head barely reaches the bottom of said phone, mostly in the original building. The game that year was indoors because weather or something, and someone left a bag lying around. So, she, naturally, confiscated it
Now, the gym has a mezzanine nearby, for indoor games they set up bleachers and open garage doors so people can sit up way high too. There's guardrails, naturally, to keep people from walking over and falling down. Onto the gym bleachers, but still
She went to climb over, with bag in hand
She slipped and fell, somehow managed to get herself home before the pain kicked in
After she came back, she wore flats for the rest of the school year and the next school year heels above two inches were banned for everyone
All cuz she had to hold the Idiot Ball for a bit

I don’t think any students at our high school wore heels to school. But I don’t necessarily notice these things...

I hope your principal suffered no lasting damage. She does sound tiny. I always marvel when someone is shorter than me. It feels so odd!

Also, happy Friday! Will you have a long weekend?

One of my classmates did
And for graduation, the one day she wouldn't not been pecked at for them, she wore flats
EVERYONE heckled her for that

I think she was also a lot more careful to not do stupid things like that too

SHE HAD A PAIR OF HEELS THAT SOUNDED LIKE WET FLIP FLOPS SO INSTEAD OF CLICK CLICK CLICK OR SILENCE BECAUSE SOMEHOW SHE IS A NINJA ON HEELS THIS PAIR WENT FLIP FLOP FLIP FLOP SJVITJVJEJDJFJVVI

I work at a theme park that is on weekends only until October ends. I am working
