Eh, not super recently
There's this potato soup packet we like to get, we add extra diced potatoes and shredded bacon to it
We actually had the stuff so I was able to make it without the packet. Had to do all the work of cutting the potatoes and cooking the bacon, but it was really freaking good

That sounds perfect for chilly weather.

I just had blueberry pancakes and a small omelet. I love breakfast food.

I hope work goes decently for you today!

Considering the shoddy weather, it's very possible I may be called off

Oh, stay safe!

There are so many dangerous weather events now. We had a hurricane last year.

Eh, it's rain. Not exactly good theme park weather, so it'll kill the place for the day

Depending on how heavy, it can be terrible.

...would the rides even be safe in the rain?

If the rain is too heavy the coasters get too slick to safely operate so they don't run them
Which is really fun when the train leaves and 0.58683828104006672 seconds after going down the first hill all hell breaks loose in the rain department
Shit hurts, I've been told
Some of the more electronic heavy ones shut down too
The indoor/covered ones tend to keep running, unless it's a thunderstorm overhead

Yeah, I can see why you’d find theme parks less amusing now.

It sounds stressful working in one. So many things could go wrong, and so many people to misdirect their anger at you...

I mean, I know you mentioned working in retail, but people can be dumb sometimes.

I think theme park retail has its own special levels stupid to deal with
And theme park food service, too. Theme park anything, really

Maybe the whole expectations vs. reality factor contributes?

Do you have horror stories?

Well, there was the one woman who flipped her shit cuz college had started and demanded a manager and then ran off before the manager arrived
There's been brawls
We also have a Preforming Arts Center, PAC for short, and during the chris brown concert that concert took out every ambulance in the county
Someone a town over that night got stabbed with a broken beer bottle
Oh and the one ride had two trains running and the brakes failed. Two cars ended up about an inch apart and one of the people on one of them was diabetic
I got yelled at by medical for not having a wheelchair so for several years after there was a manual one there. Juuuuuuuust in case. That location doesn't do wheelchair rentals so why would we have one there

So much drama...

I’m not sure, but the wheelchair one may have had to do with ADA compliance.

Who knows

Oh yeah beginning of this year had a pissed off guy cuz someone forgot to tell him details about the fast pass stuff and he did a rather logical assumption. He didn't blame me, not even when our call number kept being busy. Not my fault for either thing. When he talked to me, he was still angry, but he kept it restrained. When ranting to no one in particular, he let it out
Appreciate the guy for understanding that I had nothing to do with it and my ability to help hindered by the line being busy, tho
He did want someone to come over to him, but he decided that because the line was busy, it was going to be faster to head over and hopefully catch someone who can help more quickly en route

That seems like a reasonable guy. I’m glad you weren’t blamed.

People who can think clearly when angry seem rare! I don’t have that talent.
