Training a cat to go indoors is tough though sometimes they do it naturally. Porker was mostly outside but new how to use the litterbox and sometimes we saw him going on the toilet! We didn't teach him that he just did it.

sounds like Porker at one time might have been an indoor cat, Blue Jay, because didn't you say he had been a stray?

My mom once had a cat that would use the toilet.... I wish mine would do that xD then I could say good bye litter box

Porker was born on our property and has the same mother as Spud. Same Grandmother too. So my family was the first ones to take Porker boy in and raise him. We knew him as a kitten and he was extremely afraid of humans. Took many years to get him to trust us. So he wasn't raised by anyone else that I know of. XD

I know it would make our lives so much easier but I heard it's not right to get your cat to do that. They weren't born around toilets like us so them using it is wrong.

You usually have multiple ones depending on if you have the space.

things I didn't know.... our cat never had a litter box, she just went outside...she'd meow at 6 am until you woke up to let her out though... she had us well trained!

Originally all the cats on our property that were strays who were born here went outside. Spud was the first one we got a litterbox for and then Porker would sometimes use it.

I only have room for one litter box. So my cats all share the same box.
