Welcome back! We've been OK considering the surreal craziness in the world. How have you been doing?

Aww. Didn't mean to worry you. I was having a hard time balancing things and had to take things more simply.
My s.o. had stayed home with me for most of the quarantine. That helped a lot.
I've been using Discord which is convenient but been missing everyone here.

Galled: That's good to hear. I read the recent notice about the California wildfire issues.

Sometimes there are small blessings in the difficult times and having Eagle home with you sounds like it was a blessing. I am glad you both have each other!

It's ironic because I wanted to see about someone coming by to assist me a couple times each week. Then he ended up being able to stay home like half of this year. And all the telehealth/ appointments thru an app. Wasn't all that possible before but hopefully it will remain an option in the future.

The fires are unbelievable. What's really sad is many (may be most when they finally tally them up) were arson.

Watery Star yes, what's that all about with outrageous baby reveal stunts?! Why is this even a thing??

The baby won't care. I know as a child and subsequent adult, I would have thought it stupid if my parents did anything like that for me. I don't get it.

I understand the fun of baby reveal ( one did pink and blue cake inside since they were having fraternal twins) but some people take it too far.

That said fires have been caused by paper lanterns during lantern festivals.

The thing is, we don't know their gender. Sure, they may be born with parts one would consider to be on a specific gender, but they might identify as the other gender later on. And even without that, it's just dangerous and stupid.

There was a time when people didn't know until the baby was actually born. Now some ultrasounds are so clear you can actually see what the baby looks like before it is born!

Sadly, some Asian countries were fined if they had more then one child so they would try to find out the DNA and abort the baby if it isn't what they were wanting. People can be so cruel.
