You're not stressing me out. Disability policy is.

I'm going to find a way to make cute stuff, but I do think relative anonymity is a must.

That really, really sucks in a big way and does not in any way seem right especially if you say you wanted to donate the proceeds...what are they expecting you to do in a day? Wouldn't they be happy if you were being productive? erghhh...I am so sorry, it seems so frustrating.

On another note...collect your art work on Windlyn so we can enjoy it and maybe one day you can make it into a picture book because your art is adorable and picture perfect for a picture book!

Lemon - yeah, once I learned about that stipulation I was really disheartened. Part of the criteria for even qualifying for one program is being unable to do ANY job. I think that's why hobbies and volunteering matter. It's really unfair.

Yeah, I will collect it here to share! :D there's no question of that.

Vivianne, At least they aren't stopping you from doing a hobby...it just all seems like the programs are trying to "keep a person down".

Your art brightens my day, so thank you!

Mouse: I sent you your progress prizes but you still need to choose an item for winning the pillow fight ( or I can just send the feathers).

I mean, they're going to ask what I do during the day, but I'm going to lump drawing into 'chatting' because that isn't even a lie.

There was a couple on the program who got married to each other but had to get divorced because of financial disincentives. This is reality for disability benefits in America. There's a reason the disability rights movement exists. Well, there are lots of reasons but basic dignity is a big one.

Is the disability rights movement making any progress?

I wonder how Denmark handles disability...our new member POP from Denmark is also on disability and it sounds like they have restrictions as well. I know there are people here who try to scam the system and make it difficult for the rest who want to be productive but still need assistance. And nevermind the help you receive depends on your health insurance... that does not seem right. I wish the politicians would listen to those who live life with the disabilities and what their needs are.

Isn't that the way with most things though...the ones making the decisions don't have first hand experience.

And with that...deep, slow breath, in, out...think happy thoughts.

I once saw a picture of a super photogenic puppy at the beach and I was smiling for days. Puppies are tiny balls of concentrated happiness.
