I read the article too, it is especially sad since it had a good check up and the death was unexpected. I don't remember it saying if it had any babies, just that it's Father was also very large.

Yeah... My uncle flew his dog from New Zealand to England once because he was moving, they found out when it arrived that nobody had given it any water >n<

oh my gosh! And the dog survived? I thought they use those "hamster" style water bottles that attach to the cage so it dispenses only when they need it ? (I really have no idea as I have never traveled with a pet)

Yeah, well, for the flight it did, that was several years ago... it died last year of old age though. I think she was just in a bad condition when she arrived though.

I have no idea what happened -shrugs-
