I'm glad too! <although I was able to take a long nap after work yesterday since no Windlyn...the day Windlyn went quiet...>

So...got some sales, misread the other sales so improvised & found some other deals to bring the cost down.

Yes, count Coopers new toys!

I look at part of my gifts to others as my gift to myself.

Giving is a gift. The joy on the faces of the people you give to, the knowledge that you made someone happy, the mere fact you have the ability to give, that is, in itself, a gift to you

I have a letter that says I am an essential worker so if for some reason I get pulled over if there is a curfew then I can show them that. But I think for the most part the curfew is aimed at keeping people from going out and partying. We don't have anything in place to keep people from going to another area.

I feel like I could soak my feet right now...so crazy at work I only got to sit when I was looking up something on the computer...nap time! Haha

I have a work letter too as I'm a key worker.

Wales announced this week that pubs and restaurants are banned from selling alcohol and they have to shut at 6pm from Friday. I guess it's to discourage Christmas nights out.

How was thanksgiving for you all?

Is a key worker another word for essential worker?
Oof.
Mine was so long ago I can't remember.

Thanks, I try. I'm not called the literary fairy for nothing!

Thanks!
I mean, why do witches have to be confined to Halloween? Isn't Christmas the most magical time of year?

Think it's because Halloween is more well known for being based off a pagan holiday. However, a lot of holidays were originally based off pagan celebrations.
Festivals, feasts, and celebrations, centered round the winter and summer solstices, appeared in all pagan civilizations centuries before the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, and continued for centuries after. Originally the Christian Church frowned upon these pagan rituals, but when traditions were too difficult to overcome the Church absorbed them, creating the ecclesiastical calendar around there existence.

Looking at a Pagan/Wiccan calendar, there looks like there's celebrations each month.
