Sometimes its not about how often but how lady luck rolls the dice.

Almost was tempted to buy a lottery ticket ...750 million is tempting. I could retire for life and do something proactive to help my community ( after helping my friends and family first of course).

Are premium bonds a thing in the US? You may as well put your money in that. You have the chance to win money each month and you can withdraw your money when you need it.

I've never bought one. And usually when I hear what the prize is after it's gone as high as it can go, it's after someone just won it, so my chance is taken before I can use it.

Here's an idea, just eat any part of yourself that you wish would be thinner! You'll make it thin AND you'll have something to eat!
