not all schools offer drivers ed programs now, you have to go on line instead and arrange for your own lessons

Yeah... here in Australia we need to do 120 hours of driving and have our learner's license for a year, then take a practical test before we're allowed to drive by ourselves (up until this point, we always need to drive with a fully licensed adult). And then we need to hold that learner's license for 2 years before we can get a real license. -___-;;

We also have driving schools and stuff, but it just seems so much more lax there.

here you can get a learners permit at 15 1/2... how about over there?

Around 16 or so, I think. Though I didn't start until very late. :c

Well at least you know you get plenty of driving practice beforehand if you have to have 120 hours lol.
When I was doing my driving portion if the class I got stuck in a car with a kid who didn't have ANY driving experience.... Don't ask how he was allowed to take the driving portion.... And he didn't even know what side of the road to be on if it was an unmarked town road.... I feared for my life.....

that is so scary Mika! I think I would've been sick to my stomach. How could he not know which side to drive on? Was he originally from another country?

No.... He was definitely american born.... But, and this isn't to sound mean, he was the child of parents who were into helping out in political compaigns, meaning they had a lot of money, and I believe he was just too spoiled to even know anything... It should be very obvious that if a road is unmarked and its in town that you should drive on the right side of the road!

Yeah, I'd be terrified if I was on the roads with people who can't drive. I mean, I suck at driving. I don't want more MEs on the road. OWO

I was great at driving. Still am, but I might've gotten too comfortable behind the wheel and I don't always check everything. But I passed my driving test with only one deficiency. So I've got something to brag about.

Lol, that doesn't make me any less worried about the state of your roads. I don't think you can have any deficiencies here. xD;;;

Nah, our roads here are pretty good. I live in Virginia. And when I did my driving it was in a busy city.... not the hicks where I live... Its just that after living with both of my older brothers' driving habits, there had to be one child that was a pretty good safe driver.... I try to avoid ever having to ride with my brothers in their vehicles... only if it was a desperate situation...

No worries. It's that time of year/crunch time at school, with events, celebrations, prep for summer, etc.. It'll pick up soon with a new event and everyone shifts to summer mode.
