Oooh well tonight on September 2, make sure to watch out for the Corn Moon (aka Barley Moon or Fruit Moon)! This full moon marks the full moon phase of September.
- [+] SPOILER
In North America, when the September full moon is NOT the Harvest moon we call it the "Corn Moon." This moon shares some characteristics with the Harvest moon, but the key feature which distinguishes between the two is that
the Harvest Moon is the closest full moon to the Autumn Equinox. There have been years where the September full moon IS the Harvest Moon, however not for 2020 this year.
For those in the Northern Hemisphere, the Harvest Moon this year will fall on October 1st (since the Autumn Equinox is on September 22).
