When you breathe through your mouth do you tend to taste the scents rather then smell them then? (Just curious. I have a friend who breathes through her nose but doesn't have much of a sense of smell).

Nah, I just don't notice scents at all. Or if I do taste them, I don't realize.
But smoke... I REALLY notice it.

Alicat...what ever became of the neighbors being arrested? Are you and your family safe?

When couldn't smell a thing.
They are in custody and are probably going to be deported.
We had a look through the windows (Even though the front door was unlocked we didn't go inside because the police left a sign) and they had a full and legit setup.

Their dog, that never ever stopped yapping and always set our dogs off barking got taken away to a rescue centre and is probably going to be tested to see if it's good with children, old people, cats etc.

But they were renting. So the guy that owns the house is going to be in a lot of trouble for not doing rent inspections... unless he was in on the whole thing of course.

I hope he is good with people and gets a good home, with nice people to look after him.

Well, either he was really lazy, stupid, had his own issues, or is a criminal.

sounds like you have immigration problems there too...except in California politicians seem to be afraid to deport.

Deport so they can depart, in a dapper depot, looking at the Big Dipper, going deeper.

You need to start a neighborhood watch program in your community...is that something you have over there in your country?

I've heard of that... But what is it, exactly?

No one really does that over here... So i wouldn't really know what it is

Me neither. But I'd guess it's got something to do with watching the neighbourhood, for safety.



Also, which is the right way; color or colour? Flavor or flavour? Favorite or favourite? Neighborhood or neighbourhood?

Well, Uk and Australian English says: Colour, Flavour, Favourite, Neighbourhood

American English says: Color, Flavor, Favorite, Neighborhood

Damn that was weird to type.
So i just automatically always use the first list ^

Yeah, I think Canadian English says them with the u as well. That's how I always say it, at least. It's weird though, America is right beside us, yet so different.
