This week, both nights have had half attendance. I need to be trained on at least two other lines, likely more, but without the people, I can't train

oh no! Covid "scares" are shutting down places around here...backing everything up...not so much people testing positive but people thinking they were around someone who tested positive and so everyone is short handed.

Do you think management needs to do a better job or the owners need to make some investments to make the jobs more appealing? I suppose it's just a matter of time before robots replace us all.

Vast majority of them weren't union and high turnover is a thing of basically any factory. People wash out, unable to handle the work, and those who don't wash out but make no effort the company fires before the person hits union

They should offer a better pay incentive to make people stay longer! Or give a bonus if you last!

Perhaps the incentive is to make union. Union jobs usually pay better, at least that's how it used to be. I'm sure there are exceptions.

Family went to get trees today
Judging by the 79 text messages, they had a time finding a tree place this year. And then some of them came here so I got woken up to my nieces storming up the stairs with their mom to hit the bathroom, which scared Rufus enough to have him burrow into the blanket and under me
And if last time my sleep was interrupted is any indication, I'm gonna be slower tonight

Sunday results: trained on a different line. Can't trim and send super fast yet, and this is one where trimming is a bit more vital, but if I don't get hung up on mistakes, I'll be good
Still gonna want another day with a trainer on that end though, just to catch me when I slip (metaphorically)
Really hoping i go back to the line I'm usually slapped onto for the next shift

We did it over two days: yesterday full family, this morning with the household. Which included my friend
Yesterday, I got a second fountain for my metropolis, a metal briefcase that's an artist's kit, and one of those very nice and pretty glass nip fountain pens you've probably seen around. Two pens, multiple inks. My friend who lives with us is jealous because she's been eyeing it too. I'd been before, but not as a MUST GET, more as a if I get it, score. If not, oh well

And then today:
Fox plushie. Because WoW foxes are adorable
More unicorn stuff: slippers, socks, earmuffs, pins, erasers
Cat and Mouth. Yes, mouth. Is some sort of ping-pong style game
