So technically I get paid even more but because union dues, I actually have smaller paychecks every second and fourth week of the month

And it's not every two weeks, it's every second and fourth week. So if it's a month with five weeks, only two of the five get the fees

At least you have work and benefits. I have issues with the union that represents us so I tend to be a little negative but I do recognize unions have had their place and in some countries are needed.

On a brighter note...how's the feline friends doing?

Yeah, like they cannot be all "oh you need to come in Saturday" on Friday. Thursday at noon is the latest they can do that. 48 hour notice
Like last week shipping got their OT notice late, so they got Saturday off and instead of extended hours starting Monday they began Tuesday
