When we went from three shifts to two, three moved to first (one after a grievance passed)
One was moved to second
And the other is learning the thing I'm learning in case they need two over there and one poofed
But the general job code that specific thing it falls under (which is referred to generally as subs). He used to be on it and may come back. We have a slot open on second and he's only on first cuz no license yet

Would be better if the company had decided to pay us for the entire week after announcing that we're getting it off but here we are, only Monday is paid and the rest are unpaid unless you used vacation time or PTO
Too many people here don't have either and can't afford the week off

That's weird they closed the whole week down.

Yup, I don't get paid holiday's but I can use my vacation time or take it as unpaid. One of the issues with working less then 40 hours a week. They get you one way or another!

I feel bad for those at your work forced to take the time off and having to use vacation pay that now they can not use for a vacation at another time.

Agreed. It's not like anyone can plan a vacation with zero notice.

Unfortunately one of my friends got fried for attendance, which the company changed and thus broke the contract and the union did nothing, so he has the power right now to go above the local branch and raise hell
