I don't really watch comedy unless adult comedy counts, lol. I used to watch Jeff Dunham with my step dad and growing up and I still do occasionally though!!! The purple guy and Jalapeno on a stick (is that his name????) were always my favorite characters and I'd laugh at them the most, hahaha. Jalapeno on a stick is still my top favorite though, he deserves so much love!!!

I see. I haven't heard of any of those people. I might have to look them up when I'm in need of some laughs.

Ahhhhh, I guarantee you'd have some fun watching Jeff Dunham and his movies if you've got time and a hankering for adult humor, he goes very into it, him and his puppets, hahahaha. He's made several fun little movies about him and them too, it was always the greatest thing to watch him!!!

By adult humour, you mean humour that's inappropriate for children right?

A lot of the time he delves into not safe for children jokes, yes. He's gone into adult topics so many times and it's something that made him so popular when it was his time. He was mostly really popular between 2006-2009, it's a short time and that's why it's possible you haven't heard of him, hahaha. I mean, I don't know the last time he made a short film or movie with his puppet friends myself, hahaha.

I find most things funny, but adult humor can be categorized and I pretty much don't find "shock" humor (vulgar for shock value or nasty insults) to be funny. I'm on the fence regarding potty humor. I mostly roll my eyes with that, but I occasionally find something that I break out laughing about. I guess potty humor is popular in comedy because going potty is universal. LOL

I totally agree on the "I'm going to make you laugh and try too hard" thing I always find otherwise vulgar stuff hilarious, ah well. Hmmm, I usually laugh at that as well but I blame that on growing up with several brothers and plainly overhearing it over the years!!!

I think vulgar is fine (unless you're underage of course), but shock vulgar for the sake of shock value isn't humorous and quite frankly lacks talent and understanding of what humor is.

Yep, I can see that! :)

Yes, I totally agree with you there!! It's always painfully obvious and it's generally very annoying, especially if it's said to a lot of people. I imagine it's easy to lose fans or viewers then, whether it's on stage only or on tv shows and movies too!!! Humor should definitely be funny and light-hearted but not forced at the same time, you'll never get any "That was great!!" or "Keep making jokes!!" if they're no good, honestly!!!

Yeah, I don't like vulgar humour. I guess I'm too innocent or something.

Oh, that's perfectly fine too, you know!!! Jeff Dunham is a really bad choice then, he's usually full vulgar, that's one of the reasons I really liked watching him growing up, it was always a nice break from life as a child!!

Yeah. Though I can appreciate a vulgar joke every now and then, I usually prefer the more innocent humour. However, I can understand why others like vulgar humour. Like what you said, for example; about having a nice break from life as a child.
I think I've just been sheltered, growing up. Lots of people my age, or even younger will be able to get a joke that isn't so innocent, long before I even consider the fact that it might be not so innocent. I'm like a naive child in that way, but I'm fine with it.
