I hope the US never goes to GST tax, what a joke - it's supposed to be a temporary tax and they just keep it on.

our county pays 8.25% sales tax on products. In Canada my parents pay sales tax and gst tax so about 14% is added to whatever they buy.... so for a $100 item they pay $114 whereas we pay $108 for the same item.

I don't think there's sales tax in HK, probably not yet but maybe because right now the government relies on property sales and we're going to run out of space at some point

Do you pay income taxes on your wages where you are? I hate filling out the tax forms. I wish income tax was just a set tax like sales tax and be done with it. Besides Mur, as for a tax sandwich- "I will not eat it here or there, I will not eat it anywhere!" (Please tell me you read Dr. Seus books when you were a kid)

Pretty sure he wrote a lot of children's books in fun poetry with messed up themes.. I think Lorax and the Grinch Who Stole Christmas was his stories but when I was small I read Cat in the Hat lol.
