Sadly some parents don't when I first joined Gaia I was afraid my parents would freak out on me. Yet they bought me gift cards for Christmas. They quite didn't understand the appeal of it until I went onto Zantarni. When I started drawing and talking about my friends. I was a whole different person. I was a loner in high school and got used to not having friends. The only friend I had went to a different school. I was so shy in real life but online I'm a social butterfly. It's the oddest of things with me but my mom picked up on it. I even gushed the first time Turtle talked to me on Zantarni. I had taken a break and now she was super popular I was so scared to talk to her. I thought I would offend her by just saying hello and now we are the closest of online avatar friends. ^^

Yes they are. I seriously have made better friends in Avatar sites then I have in the real world.

I kind of snuck around my mom with online forums and such. She never understood me so I just became tech savvy.

It's hard to get away from your parents sometimes. Moving out is the best way to stop them controlling you. But a place of your own can cost a lot. >.<

I'm lucky, my dad doesn't understand me, but he just ignores me mostly. And my mom is actually pretty cool. She doesn't always understand, but she accepts me at least.

My parents don't understand my love for avi sites either lol. But they don't care much. My husband doesn't understand either but he loves me and sees how happy they make me so let's me spend money on them when we can afford it.

yes ^u^ i love getting to see my family. i never get to see them. only my moms side celebrates any sort of holiday with us, but tomorrow our family that lives closer to home and my boyfriend are coming over to our house, we're having just random food like mac and cheese and lasagna and not really a christmas dinner. and then christmas day we're going out of town to my aunt and uncles house and some of that same family comes and then more family comes and we have a real christmas dinner :3 we dont usually do it like this (the same people usually go to the same houses tho, if you get what i mean) but its usually a christmas dinner at each house but the one at my aunts house is either really early or really late. this year its right on christmas.
