I heard sea cadets was a good program.

Some of my customers have kids who are in the military right now. It can be a good career option during peace times, especially if you want to get your schooling paid for, my coworkers future son in law is doing that to become a Dentist. But the risk of being sent into battle is scary.

Then again, police officers are putting their lives on the line more frequently now too.

It definitely was for me, although it seems the corps i was in had a problem with sexism, where they would "lose" the forms for female cadets to go to summer camp. I actually had that happen to me as well, though I am male, I think I was a "problem child" at times, so that might be why. Still ranked up to the second highest rank, just under a rank which there could only be one per region or something, I even had to do an interview for my rank


Yeah, in peace it can be a boon

It'd be nice if they didn't need to do that to get the job done

Well the actual rank was called Chief Petty Officer Second Class (the rank above was first class), but that's a mouthful so Captain Pixelz is fine!
And what can I say, I love pirates! Well, the romanticized versions, not the irl kind, since they were pretty bad, or so I've heard
