STORYTIME
Grandparents have it in their will that their house is to be sold
No keeping it in the family
Two of mom's sibs are good with that, they want the money
Her and the rest of her sibs (two or three others) want the house to stay in the family
Mom is the one actually gunning for it
But debts
Solution: have me buy the house we live in to clear out their card debt and thus approved for that mortgage
Currently in the process of this part
If they don't get the house, parents will be house hunting. In the meantime, cuz neither will be dealing with card debt, they'll cover the mortgage payments on this house
On the off chance I decide to sell this house and move in with them, I'll be welcome, but smaller room. No thanks. Plus my nieces will likely live there by that point and, uh, no thanks
Can always rent a room if needed at that point
But yes. House. This one. To be mine
Which will be really fun after my parents die (especially if they never actually move out) cuz ny oldest sister will have a buyer lined up and that money spent, since she'll be expecting the house to go to her as the oldest. Nope, house deed in my name since [likely this year, depending on how long things take]. No sales
And yes, she will spend money she only anticipates on getting. Like when dad had his stroke and the er let him go despite all signs of one, he was recommended to sue. She expected a cut of that money and bought motorcycles for herself and her hubby. Dad never bothered. Money never showed. She ultimately had to sell the bikes ahahahaha
