You'll most likely refi a couple of times before you pay it all off and save 100k+ over the life of your first loan. Check mo payments for a 35, 40, and 45 year mortgages and see if it makes sense. When you refi you can revert to a loan of less years (30, 25, 20, 15, etc.) and lower interest rate. You'll likely be making more money at that time too.

I get a car I have a place I can apply to where their starting rate is higher than what I make now
I'm still here cuz I carpool with dad who works about two minutes away and don't have my own mode of transportation yet

More money coming in will definitely help ... nice you are looking for work that pays more and then there is always that option of a room mate.

Many people are still paying off homes into their 80's so paying off a home before 60 is great ... but then you could sell that house and use it to buy something else before that.

Insurance guy from the bank. Just wanted info so he could scout out the best policies and best prices for me
He's gonna call agains tomorrow so we can talk again and decide based off an email he's gonna send at some point

I used Consumer Reports list to shop for homeowners insurance. Saved a ton of money and with a AAA insurer! I love those people--one of the last looking out for consumers!

Phone calls are soooooo stressful! Even if it's a call I've made many times, I always have to type out instructions on my phone to read during the call to make sure I'm doing it right, and even then I often stumble over my words!
