Dad has said that if something happens to mom, he's selling that house on the open market. Considering they're paying only 300k on a house valued at least twice that, he'd be able to pay off that mortgage, mine, and fix things up at this house
Already have some small plans in place: take out the island in the kitchen because it ain't big enough for one but mom nagged, take down the walls and convert what is operating as dad's bedroom and the backroom back to a sunroom, terracotta tiles for said sunroom (requires subfloor replacement but it needs to happen in that part anyway), removal of the little closet in the back room cuz all it does is hide random shit we haven't used in years and so we don't need. Likely have dad over the hooks over to there instead of on the temp wall currently up
Slowly convert the lawn from grass to native plants that don't really need mowing (plus patches of native flowers n the like to reduce that even more)
So many plans, I know

Not for a while. Her ankle roll that's kept her out of proper work (and still is cuz comp is being a dick) is still running

She's been trying to get comp to settle for the last two years but they're the ones dragging it on, ignoring court orders (she has evidence) and continually screwing her over

I don't know what the rules are in your State on paying taxes on profit from home sales or how much property taxes are charged on buying a place but worth finding out about if you have not already, might help make long term decisions.

Property taxes in this town is covered by the local theme park, so that's a bill I don't have

No, but it does also have a concert venue
Some years ago USA Today (I believe) did a "top 19 laser shows of the world" and you have all these amazing places with awesome things they're showing the laser stuff on
And then there's this dinky-ass place where the show is on a flat screen, it was hilarious
Also the pic they used is old as fuck, shows old laser boxes we no longer have. That one was just green, the current ones can go rainbow

So mom wanted to a garage sale event (bunch of people running one all at once in the same area, becomes a whole thing) to find me chairs
Mom would pick out what she likes, not what I'd like
Fortunately she got called into work so they didn't go
