If she doesn't before my parents die, it's gonna be quite the shitshow cuz she'll have it sold and the money spent before I go "yeah I bought the house in 2023"
Of course she may try and argue that since I "got" the house I don't need to get anything else. Except I bought it from mom n dad. Didn't inherit it
So mom n dad are gonna have to have a really tight lockdown on their wills. If she tries to contest ANYTHING, she gets squat. I'm pretty sure that since neither she nor my brother are dad's kids, he may not be required to give them anything. And since my second sister (dad's common parent) went no contact with us, he may be able to basically hand all his stuff off to me. Mom's planning on one dollar to my sister last I heard, and if that hasn't changed, then my brother and I will get the bulk of her stuff
Either way, their deaths are gonna cause a shitshow

Hopefully you won't have to experience that for a long time & it sounds liek you Mom & Dad have planned ahead for it so should relieve you & your brother of having to deal with it by then. Plus they can gift you tax free monetary amounts before that time if they wanted to take care of things a different way before passing.
The selfishness of people is quite shocking sometimes though, so sad.

Oh, yeah. The government makes your contact information available to anyone willing to pay (you're in the public records heap now!). You'll get all kinds of junk mail now from mortgages, insurance, real estate, investing, and other joy. It all goes straight in the trash, erm recycling.
