Walmart has a lot of good value stuff. Amazon does too, but you have to shop/search.
Any rooms near completion yet?

We all work during the week so while off mom n dad (mostly dad) gets stuff settled in and on weekends dad moves their stuff out of my house
If mom has any weekday requests I'll oblige best I can
So, sadly, I think they won't be fully out until sometime December and then I'll know what I really have

My cats are enjoying full access to the house tho, used to be banned from what was dad's room n they all just chill on the bed lol

It sounds like at least the pressure is off for your parents by you letting them move slowly.

you will get there! One room at a time!

Considering how much random shit they have and how little kitchen space they have, that'll be fun to hear about going down

Dad's cats are slowly settling in. Saw Jazz earlier today (mom requested a few things, plus not all their mail is going to their new place yet) and she seemed relaxed. Or at least plased that I'm not little feets. Ready to go outside, but they're on a ban from that, at least for now. Be interesting to see if they make their way back, half a mile isn't that big of a range

Oh poor Kitties! They do take awhile to get used to the new place. But at least if they did wander back they would be in safe hands.

More cat adventures!

Have you been concentrating on a particular room or two or are you all over the place? I know you started with the art room. Nearing the end enough to move on to the next point of concentration?

Oh, no no no
We're working on the KITCHEN first. Gotta get their stuff cleared out so I can determine what I need
Then we're going upstairs

I'm thinking bathroom after kitchen. I have what I need there, and after it's cleaned up I can get it redone. At the bare minimum, toilet and floor. If I can afford it, change out the sink n vanity for something smaller and get the tub replaced. But the toilet and floor are the Must Be Dones
After that, the upstairs rooms one at a time, then the downstairs rooms

Toilet and floor will have to be done first then. Sink and vanity isn't too bad cost-wise. The killer is the tub--will cost a lot to R&R. We use our tub as a shower almost exclusively, so perhaps that can be put off for a while?

It's a tub/shower combo and while I could've done it sooner, I decided to wait until mom n dad are moved in so that way if it takes longer I have somewhere to sleep n wash

The vanity is large enough for two sinks, I don't need one that's so damn large

Tub is also a shower but when the water isn't running it leaks

You mean the valve leaks, and not the tub/enclosure itself?

It only leaks when the tub is being used as a tub. If I'm showering it's fine
So something leaks, idk what

Used to be the pipes but those got updated a few years ago

It probably leaking by the drain. Could be the drain plumbing fixture most likely unless the tub is cracked and/or rusty by the drain.
