Already got first snow. Usually that doesn't occur until later this month
Truck 100% needs to go into the shop
Work is new day same shit
Had a mandate back on Monday for printing reasons, so our first printer who blew it off currently isn't allowed to print loooool. Turns out he's been doing a lot of stuff wrong too, which doesn't help. Others are also currently under that ban until they go in Monday for another round of that training
Minor context: I do hug my lead, have been since Feburary, he generally hugs back unless I'm catching him in a way he can't hug back, in which he goes a very excited "heeeeeeey!" in approval, aka Happy Noises. Entirely platonic, and no one's said anything (disapproving) so I haven't had a reason to stop
Mine was early enough that dad drove me in and picked me up, and it started at 11. Way too early for me. Started at one line, moved lines when it came time to talk about the quirks of the different autoprinters, despite all of them being from the same company. On our way from one line to the next, we pass through my area. Lead's at his desk, I detour and give him a hug. He knew why I was coming up and was making a Happy Npise before I was there. One of the first shift printers sees and goes "aaaaaawwwwww", to which he retorts "don't you aaawww me!". They ended up laughing

Also the birds know I have the Good Shit (sunflower kernels) and will follow me until they're no longer hungry. People have noticed, and are thoroughly entertained by it

Pigeons. Fat pigeons, one has a clubbed foot because a few years ago someone threw a knife at it and made a bloody mess. The spoiled fuckers KNOW what I have and if I offer anything different, they refuse it

An annual one, so new as in just started? Yes. New as in brand new? No

Geese are vicious, they're so aggressive in this area. Still, I wouldn't psychically harm them.

I have a shipping guy jealous of me
The two were following me around for their seed and he offered them pizza crust. Which they rejected
Then they chased me down with him watching and went ham on the kernels
Good times

I live in NYC and we called the pigeons there rats with wings. :/

When it comes to Seagulls, it seems the "domesticated" ones (once not afraid of and feed off humans--our garbage) are the troublesome ones.

Yeah the local theme park has the more domesticated ones. People feed them and then panic when they get dive bombed for stopping. We warn them but most never listen. At that point all we can do is shrug and be all "I told you that was gonna happen"
