Sorry to hear that. I used to take the train to school every day and learned two things intimately; it's far better to be two minutes early than two minutes late, and the train waits for no one! ;)

Where did you go hiking and for how long/far? Was it crazy hot?

I went to a hiking trail called the pinnacles and it's a moderate rating. It's a lot of hills, lol. I went maybe 5 miles, I don't really know. It wasn't crazy hot, but that's because I got done before noon or 1pm.

But I had to wait for 20 minutes with a 1/2 gallon of milk for the next bus. I think that bus I missed was early... Or one didn't come at all.

Sounds like quite a, uh, hike!

Welp, at least you had something good and cool to drink while you waited...

Oh. I didn't open them. I wasn't going to until I got to my room. All my juice is gone so I can't look forward to that anymore.

MonkeyGirl18: thank you! I'm trying to post more, but I'm really not that interested in forum word games. I might make my own thread soon.

How are you doing?

I'm not big on forum word games myself. I sometimes participate in them.

You should make one, that's how I get most of my feathers, lol.

I'm doing good, just trying to write a choose your own adventure game for the most part.

I've always liked word games - scrabble, upwords, find a word, to name a few - and the forum word games are easy feathers. I find Sanchicho is really funny and clever in some of his responses.

Monkeygirl - look what this guy did so that he didn't have to live in the dorms:

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/09/06/un ... cmp=hplnws

excerpt from the article: "Around freshman year I didn't enjoy living in the dorms so I wanted to do something different," he told the newspaper. "I started researching different ways to live. I wanted to put all the money that would be going towards rent ... to something else

It cost Cerk about $800 a month for rent last year. He spent $13,000 on materials and built the house over the past two years. He expects to save money over his last two years at Michigan, and said he has a place to live after graduation."

Yeah, it is a lot of money to come up with upfront and to make it cheaper you would have to build it yourself which means having the tools to do it. But it is a cool idea - kind of like a fifth wheel or camper. But I'd hate having to figure out how to dump the waste from the bathroom.
