Yeah, where dad works there's this three days span between Christmas and new years that most people take off if they have the time. Dad has the time approved off so his plan is to get EVERYTHING of theirs that's still here out
at least into the garage if not taken out entirely. Then I can start really getting things redone I'm also getting those days off and my one coworker thinks that the supervisor didn't even read the dates I put down (superintendent knows, he helped me with filling out the paperwork since first time doing it) so that'll be fun for her
At one point mom was here too and was super confused as to why I'd hardly done anything. Dad pointed out that it was cuz her shit is all over the house still
Also, with dad's guidance I moved the doorknob from my room to the crafts room so Doink stops barging into it and chilling on the bed that's leaning against the wall. He said that let him know what to give me for christmas: tool kit. While doing that I had some questions, he answered, so it was helpful. And apparently my brother wants Dad to go to his house and do it too. To be fair, so would I, but if I have tools on hand, the urge to do something, and dad's unavailable, I can do it myself. Which he seemed to like hearing
Granted, some of the heavier things (moving the bed, my desk, and the dresser at minimum) I'll need help with anyway, but I think the fact that I'm interested in doing it myself has him happy
