Tools are a great idea! Wow, so impressed and proud of you taking charge to get stuff done yourself! There are millions of YouTube vids on how to do and fix stuff too. Dad's a good resource, but I seem to find tips and tricks there that save me time and/or money and pitfalls to avoid. Warning: It can be a bit of a rabbit hole if you're not careful!

Whenever painting ends up happening I'll be having help. The more the merrier (and the sooner it's finished)

I do have my old tool bag, so I can put the tools dad gets me into there. The strap is failing so I upgraded to a backpack for work

The upstairs hall is gonna be green with brown baseboard. The window will be pink
Deciding on a blue/blue-green for the work room
Living room I haven't thought about yet
But the beams that kinda divide the downstairs into three areas and their posts are gonna be obnoxiously yellow

haha, all that matters is that you don't find it too obnoxious as you will have to live with it everyday!

Might brighten up the place & that's what is important.

The one area is all that 70s wood paneling, and it's kinda dark despite having the largest window in the house granted the shades are shut over it right now but even in summer when they aren't that room feels darker
Prolly do a mid-range color for the dining area

It'll likely be either over several weekends or during the summer when the windows can be opened

But in the meantime, dad's focusing on the one bedroom. Once he's done with that one he's going to the other one so the bed can be moved out and I can move my desk in

Yup. And since I have the three days between Christmas and new years breaks off (put in for them and promptly got approved), I'll have nearly two weeks of time to move stuff around so I can work on the rooms

And I do not get why they can't just have one long break for everyone, why places "need" those three days like wtf
