oh, that is nasty! And so hard to get rid of that smell but I do know the hardware stores sell a spray product for that very reason! I can say from personal experience of having to get rid of cat pee from fabric that it works!

Fortunately the floors are hardwood, so it's not like he's shitting on carpet

Yay, easier to wipe up! Then again, maybe a wide removable mat under the litter box might protect the floor, do you already do that?

So many things to think about when one has pets (and babies).

They make disposable mats that sit under the litter box. A friend uses them, but one of his cats doesn't like walking on it--she gets her own litter box... some cats are like that...

If only he were shitting right next to the litterbox every time
The mat would have to be something like 12'x12' to cover where he goes, and considering how much of mom's stuff is still here, it don't have much of a flat area to set anything down outside walking zones (he doesn't poop there) and where the boxes are, so a mat wouldn't do anything except waste money

oh wow, well that's too bad!

Our cat never used a litter box & never went the bathroom in the house, she would meow until you got up & let her out to do her business... even in the pouring rain!

Yeah according to dad Corbin has always been a pain about using the litterbox
Thankfully Doink and Rufus are good about it

So mom is refusing to get her stuff out of my house because it's "full of garbage"
Her garbage that she never took care of while living here
So the goal this upcoming weekend is to get to spectrum with mom and move my phone from her plan to mine
Then washer and dryer (which will be after bathroom)
Once those are done I'm gonna see if I can get some friends to come over one weekend, pack all of her shit up and then leave it on her porch
If she's unhappy with that, she should've gotten her shit out sooner

I very likely live too far out for that kind of pickup/delivery service if it does exist

Yup. All her stuff that's still here and making a mess of my place. Already got a friend on board for being petty about it. Pack up all of mom's stuff in boxes and then leave it all on her porch. Then boom it's out of my house and look at how much cleaner it is without her book, her yarn, her random shit all behind
Also some toys for little feets but those are much smaller in amount

Sounds like the best plan of action. Although, do they have a garage over there? Maybe best to drop it inside to a storage area??

They do have a garage but mom never goes in it, hence the porch
It's got a roof over it so it's not like the stuff will be in the open sun. Plus we'll let her know so she can sort it out

It's yarn, books, and dead plants for the the most part with mom. Some toys that belong to my nieces. Some clothes they've likely outgrown, being toddler to...third grade, I believe
They were dead or nearly so before they moved out don't judge me
