I felt that way too with the show. Not trying to dissuade you but I didn't realize some of the stuff that was going to be shown/suggested.

I mean, if something does upset you that's just great writing. But some of the things that have happened are kinda triggering and like I said, there were times where I was left confused with the abrupt change of scenery that I was unaware something had even ended beforehand.

Right.
It was the content that triggering. One thing to elicit an emotion from viewers but I wasn't aware of the extent of the triggering content. I guess more that I don't watch much graphic shows/movies so I was just surprised at how far some of the scenes were taken.

Yeah I think they took things a bit too far for my comfort, but I also understand that it is supposed to represent a different timeline from ours and so the methods need to be more... barbaric? I guess. Even so, some of the things I've read are just plainly cruel and not okay. And while some where triggering, some just infuriated me. But overall, it's still a good read. Not something I ever thought I'd have on my bookshelf but I don't regret having read it either. If that makes sense.

I always liked the Narnia books and the original Narnia series done I think by PBS. The libraries used to carry video & then DVD.

The Five Nights At Freddy's movie. I've loved the games so I'm pretty hype to watch it. I just haven't had time to go watch it because I've been busy with other things.

Maybe you & your beau can watch it together.

I also have a germ phobia so am not good about sitting in seats, especially movie theater seats that they don't disinfect between people & can be sticky.

That is the plan. He asked me if I wanted to watch it and my answer was: Maaaaybe? Perhaps, probably... yes. Yes I do.
lol So we're going to try to watch it together when he has some time off from work. I don't mind theaters, but I do understand what you mean. It can be pretty gross. I don't like seeing the floors littered with popcorn and it is upsetting when there's spilled drinks. But I haven't seen that in a long time. The last movie I watched was the Barbie movie. We both went to watch it and he really enjoyed it, I was nervous he wouldn't because of the music and dancing but yeah it was fun! And Ken is just... oof.

I'll wait until the movies are available to watch outside of the theaters. I am okay with waiting & not seeing them right away, but I do appreciate people's recommendations.

Sometimes there are shows that should be on the big screen to appreciate the full scope of them...especially with surround sound.

It helps when you have someone to go watch with as well.

I most definitely recommend watching Barbie if you ever get the chance to. It was funny and just a really fun movie to watch. And some of the songs were so good. Ken's song, is chef's kiss. lol Soooo good. I memorized the lyrics in like three days.

I had a few people that said they enjoyed "Barbie".
I am use to the animated Barbie movies...some of those songs still pop into my head!
