Love the friends pitching in to help!

Sounds like you are getting the cat situation covered.

There are tables with collapsible sides so that you can have it small for most of time but option to enlarge it for sewing or craft projects or for entertaining. The older ones were great,, don't see them around as much. when the sides hinge down much better then storing the ones with pieces. But sounds like you have something in mind already. Such fun planning it the way you want.

My friends are great for that

Kinda. Gotta find a scraper so I can get the vomit off the floor but after that hopefully things will be better

Grandma n grandpa had one, mom n dad have one. The grands had one that was nice and small when fully collapsed, but the one the parents have is big in base size
Technically the table I have is like that, but someone put a single-size top on it so it's stuck at Big. Way too big for me
Also for crafts I have an artists table ovo

Gonna have to pay the bf somehow. Prolly feed him. Likely feeding him lol

So he told me that helping me is repayment for being so helpful to my friend (his gf), so apparently I don't need to worry about feeding him
This is the friend who got kicked out by her mother's husband for not being a meek obedient child and so I took her in. This was after something like 10 years of our only contact being via Facebook, we're much closer now

Assembly is Pain. Dad's now over here putting the chairs together, managed the table myself. Somehow

I kinda have an idea for the room that's now clean, it'll temporarily be the dining room until everything else is done, seeing as it's the ONLY downstairs room that's clean at the moment
But it'll be the living room sooner or later, with the TV and all. Have plans for it

Dunno about the fireplace room tho, it's kinda...awkward, especially when considering that it's the area with two litterboxes. I'd prefer to have the wood piled where they currently are but then the cats would pee on the wood and I don't need that trouble

Dining room has a few things planned out, but so far nothing is solid other than an actual (likely custom) shelving unit where I currently have my figures that can hold the largest two, cover that entire space, and naturally hold a lot more, since I have the rest out and now on display in my room

Sounds like it is coming together & you have a good plan.
My parents had a fireplace, they'd stack the chopped wood under a tarp near the back door so it was easy to get to & leave a couple pieces next to the fireplace & then stack the fireplace so it was ready to light for the next time. But they only really lit it on cold days to bring an added depth of warmth, they didn't use it to heat the house.
Do you have a wood stove or an actual wood burning fire place? New homes can't put in wood fireplaces, they have to be gas.

Ugh, California has that, but they want to ban nat gas too, so you're stuck with electric heat and heat pumps that don't work without electricity--which they can't keep running consistently and typically goes out in storms and extreme heat, rain, wind, sun!... so shortsighted...

I've read that storing firewood near your house is a bad idea (termites). I guess in small quantities that'll be burned shortly would be OK. We've had termites--not fun.

Is a fireplace
The stove/oven is propane

New York is gunning for the no gas on new after 2035, which everyone NOT in the City is going "that won't work". Likely a bunch within, too. Look at all the reports of all electric vehicles not working because it's too cold for them to start

I don't think the weather here is good for termites, but idk. Either way, don't have them. We store wood in the basement tho, that's unfinished and all concrete

The hardest part about packing mom's shit is that she's also taking her sweet-ass time getting her shit unpacked so dad has to wait on her so then he can bring the boxes back

I've got a room that's almost ready for work but the bed needs to be removed first, and for that, I need a different room cleaned up. And for THAT, I need boxes. I might talk to the supervisor on Tuesday and see if I can get the 1g/2g discharge boxes saved from a single shift to use. I can always retape the bottoms, so breaking them down is fine
