Yeah, a family member dying does usually take precedence over anything else
Like my dad heard his trucking brother died and gave his work about two hours notice that he would be gone for a week. Management went "two hours isn't much notice for a week off" and dad went "and my brother didn't give me much notice for dying either" to which management went "okay go take the week off, we're sorry for your loss" and dad hated the truck he n mom rented. The 2005 Exterra handled existing better than that rental
Idk I've only visited a few times, never lived there
Meanwhile work keeps mandating Monday for 10 hour shifts, and so 10 hours of overtime is adding a nice little $200/week, especially after the print rate adjustment is added (I'm $17.40/hour normally, printing is currently $20.20/hour, and I do believe that is ignoring shift differential, which is another $.75/hour), so while working five days a week is pain, the added money makes up for it
Almost at 4k in my main account, but first day of the month the mortgage comes out. Most to all of my bills come in the first half, I believe electric is the last one in on the 10th. After that the money is mostly saved. If I hit 4k and have at least one pay period before the end of the month I'll move 1k over to my other account, which I use more as a tracker for large purchase savings than an actual account. I try to keep at least 2k in my primary account because of the mortgage. Don't wanna overdraft
Tho a cruise would be nice, I've been on one before (Carnival), and iirc I have the vacation time, but at the same time I don't wanna deal with the booking and travel arrangement and pet care etc
