Sometimes some of the event items go up in the shops for a few days after the event. Not always though!
We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm glad it passed over you!
We're visiting family up north, but I don't think my area was supposed to get the severe part of those storms.
We just have all of the flooding warnings. I'm driving back tomorrow and it's supposed to be rain, rain, rain the whole way. I'm probably 2-3 hours east of you.

there are some bad bushfires sort of near my mothers home, not close enough for me to start getting worried but they usually happen a lot further west so im a bit :/

Ugh the world is crazy! XD
It took 2 extra hours to get here, we had to turn around 3 times because the roads were flooded. We were so lucky though! We had one last route to try to get home and it was clear! When I got home, we found out that not 20 minutes after we passed through, a tree fell down blocking that road and a house fire happened. The road was closed. if we hadn't gone through when we did, we wouldn't have even been able to backtrack enough to make it to a hotel. The roads were awful. We had to drive on the wrong side for some parts just to avoid the deep water. Definitely not something I want to do again anytime soon.

Oh Mousy! I am so sorry you were under so much stress! Glad you made it home safe though!! Almost makes you not want to travel in the winter. I am glad your hubby was taking care of you!
