My store changed branding, still the same parent company but just a different part

I've already worked night crew grocery flow for 4 years

I'm now training to learn things I already knew

At a location 30 min away by car

Because apparently the roof is leaking at my location

So the only new things I'm learning are things specific in the location I'm training

Like where they're trash compactor is

When I wasn't told I'd be training at all until a week before

And was only told the dates 3 days before

So now the plans I had hoped to make might not happen

So yeah, fun

Dang, that sucks. They could have given you better notice for this. :/

You'll be back at your regular location when you're back from your time off, right? So why would they need you to train there? Are you going to cover at that location some days?

Ikr
I will be. Apparently the roof at my location was leaking, so we couldn't train there. I hope not!

I agree

Sooooooo

I forgot that my friend was going to come later today

And I'm working tonight

Soooooooo I has to postpone until next week

And I'll just have to tell them I need the 23rd to 27th off, or even the 22nd to 27th

Because I've postponed the get together to the 23rd, and the 24th is wisdom teeth day, so I'll need the days after in case I don't feel well

The reason I might as for 22nd off as well is so I'll have a buffer day so I'm wide awake on the 23rd

Buffer day would be good. Do you have someone taking you home afterwards?
Hope you're not given a hard time about taking the needed time off.

Yeah it did

And I had almost no warning

I'm off 23rd to 27th, and when scheduled the next week we'll ask for 28th and 29th, maybe 30th, off

So, is your 2-month break period pretty much over since they're scheduling you now? Or have I lost all concept of time and 2 months have already passed? @-@

The first one lol

Last night's shift I did well! Apart from having breathing problems due to dust near the beginning, it was a good shift! The manager even said I did a good job!

Dang, it sucks that your break got cut short, but it's good to hear that the manager sees/ acknowledges your work ethic. :')

That's the working world for you ... getting called in at the last minute, I know that one!

I am sorry you didn't get the whole time off, and you have to go in even further away .. but atleast it is only for a short period of time.

Glad they will give you the time off for your dental appointment though too.

I ams ure your friend will understand when you explain.

Yeahhh
Well she did the last two nights, but for a bit it seemed we had gotten off on the wrong foot

Yup
Indeed!
Yeah, I have a feeling I'll need it afterwards
He'll understand but I won't be happy

Last night was a good night as well! Got a lot done, met another new person, and overall no problems!
I'm really thankful to my sister for driving me to work and my dad for picking me up, especially since my dad was supposed to be at work earlier this week
Thankfully his work is understanding and are allowing him to be an hour and a bit late
