My heart is heavy. I've been meaning to call my grandpa and today I got a message from my mom saying he isn't well. He's been in the hospital and was doing better but accidentally injured himself getting out of bed last night.

When my Grandma was in the hospital and I couldn't travel to see her, my Mom held the phone to her ear so I could talk to her. She couldn't speak to me but my Mom said my Grandma's facial expressions seemed to show that she understood me.

See if you can still call. He may enjoy a chat and he can do that lying down! Falling for older people can happen so easily...especially at night. I hope he is able to recover.
