It was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs to enable the colonization of Mars."

But it looks like due to a tropical depression the flight may be postponed this week.

SpaceX is another forward-thinking Elon Musk company doing really cool things. These are the guys that send cargo to the ISS (International Space Station) more reliably and at a much cheaper price than NASA and the Russians (because they can land the first stage boosters).

It's really exciting that the US will finally be able to send astronauts to the ISS ourselves again (relying on the Russians for transportation was so unbelievably idiotic!). I feel that the lack of that capability stifled our ability to make progress towards other things. I hope our astronauts make it there and back safely or it'll throw everything back for years. To infinity and beyond!
