I try to donate locally and that way you have a better chance of the money being used for the purposes you intended - rather then someone's salary or other expenditures.

That's true. I thought, if I donate to three organizations, chances are higher that one of them actually does something good with my money, haha.

Over here you can now actually look up the companies standings and how they use the money, one of the reasons there was such a scandal a few years back - only 10% actually went for its advertised purpose.

Unfortunately, the devil is in the details. They may list a percentage as going to the cause, but many have been discovered using trips, dinners, parties, cars, etc., as essential towards their cause. No paid staff charities have "work-arounds" that siphon funds as well. It's all pretty disgusting. Donor beware!

Yeah I heard rumors about that. But on the other hand, if you do not donate, the chance of people in need receiving your money is 0%.

It's Mother's day over here and a beautiful sunny day. Do you celebrate Mother's day there?

Yepp, I bought a giant bouquet for my mum. She was very happy. xD

I actually don't know what specific flowers she liked, but I do know the kind of bouquets she likes.

Yeah, I was at my parents' place the whole weekend.

Hmmm I had plans on visiting Japan this year, but I first wanna get my health back on track, so it might not be in the summer~
