I wish daylight would always be like the summer hours...light in the morning and light until 9 pm...but we know that's not happening. so I agree, just don't play around with pushing it forward and bringing it back...and then changing when we are going to change it...leave it alone and our bodies will get used to it and keep on schedule.
Windlyn is so fun, Windlyn is so grand, So come on everyone, All across the land, Come and join us now, In this awesome site, We will show you how, Talking through the night. ~npixelz
I live near the equator. The sun goes up about 5:30 am. It sets around 5pm-7pm. However! It's so freaking hot! Not just that there's no cool breeze. North of our country has cooler places though. but from where I am it's super hot.
I get that how that is convenient to waking up every morning. but I prefer waking up when it's dark. >o<
I don't want the sun up that early...6:30 am is early enough for me. Ya, I can't do that hot and humid so I guess I'll have to be satisfied with what I've got.
We are just getting down to cold temperatures in the night now, so I can start pulling out some sweaters and jackets... but still around 70/80's in the day. I get flowers all year long so..seriously..I do like where I am at.
10^c is extremely cold for me. >< It should start to get cold here but because of global warming, even if it's supposedly the rainy season, there's barely any rain and warm breeze are still coming in.
I've done cold and it definitely is NOT for me! To go visit ok but not to live in...although it does make for some humorous stories.
Ya, a little on the dry side where I live but otherwise more conducive to the temperature's I like. Growing plants year round is like a little bit of heaven for me...now just to keep the rodents (gophers, rabbits, squirrels) from getting at the plants since they like the weather too and like to feast on my plants...but I've learned some tricks
-20?! Wow. I hear Elsa singing the cold never bothered me anyway
Haha they are really fun to look at. Make me want to use stickers too. lol
Awh man, I wish I could be in a place like that. Plants everywhere with cute animals such as rabbits just wandering around. They stop looking cute once they eat your plants What do you do to keep them away?
Natural predater's - hawks, coyotes and feral cats keep some of the animals at bay.
Planters that are over two feet high, wire meshing, planting flowers they tend to not like or that may be poisonous to rodents, (they don't eat my strawberries for example), using rocks as mulch, planting succulents that will regrow from pieces broken off.
Yeees they are my fav emoticons so I use them whenever I can!
Also, the crazy rabbit. But you can only really use it for crazy emotions, haha!
I agree, cold it definitely not my thing. But I also don't like insects much, especially mosquitoes, so I am happy when the cold keeps them away. Also, I like snow! The world looks really pretty in white!
so...cold keeps the insects at bay for awhile but how is it places that get a lot of cold ...like Alaska... have the biggest black flies and mosquito's!?
I agree, there is something so peaceful and beautiful about a snow ladden landscape. (But a couple weeks and I'm done).
