I can't really use an alternative unless it can run PSD files because that's what we use over on avaricia for items and whatnot. I got it working again though.

I'm not used to anything else really at this point anymore, it's been a long time since I used anything but cs2 [I did have sai for a bit though. and used to use gimp back in the day.]

I thought there was something like that myself, but am having no luck finding it. There is a free trial for Photoshop though it is for only 7 days.

It's CS2 that's free now you get it from the adobe website itself

Yep, this happens a lot up here in Newfoundland, we've had random snowstorms in the middle of 'summer'

The software Pixar uses to make Toy Story, et al, RenderMan is available for free for non-commercial work. It's probably overkill for flat animations, but it'll certainly do that. But if you get good with it, you could probably get a job at Pixar (which is their intent in letting people use it for free).
