Oh No!

I am so sorry to hear about your cat.

How did the eye appointment and scan go? Were they able to clearly see anything and is there treatment for your symptoms? Does it have anything to do with the other conditions you have? How scary!

Thank you

The appointment went well, the medication seems to be working well, the specialist set me up for more testing next month.

The CT Scan went well, my arm is a bit bruised and tender from the IV from the dye for the scan. Results will be in hopefully within the next two weeks.

They still have no idea so far of what's happening unfortunately.

That sounds scary! But maybe they can at least eliminate what it is not. Is it possible to have a Specialist somewhere else review your tests when they get back?

He's the only specialist that can see me currently, he's hoping to refer me to a neurologist at some point.

Let's hope you can get in to the neurologist soon then.

I'm honestly really worried because I've only just finally been able to work on my art properly again over this last year and now I have no idea what is happening with my eyes.

I know someone who had a detached retina, she did not go into the eye doctor immediately so it is actually amazing she did not lose her sight, but they were able to treat it. I had no idea that kind of thing could happen very easily, but it sounds very scary to lose vision. Good thing you could get into the specialist!

I do hope they are able to figure your issue out quickly, are they able to use anti-inflammatories to reduce the inflammation on your optic nerve? I would assume that is also what is causing the migraines?

Migraines and eye problems are often related. I know a couple of people who had to deal with detached retinas. They are both fine now, but it's kinda unnerving how common it is. One of the things they both said was they saw flashes randomly.

A specialist will be able to sort it out. When will you see (no pun intended!) them?

Sorry for disappearing again, I'm already seeing a specialist, have been since may, won't be seeing him again until October unfortunately. I've had a few more tests done since my last post but no news from the specialist on anything.

Sometimes no news is good news. If they were rushing you in for more tests then you think it would be of more concern?

On the other hand, don't hesitate to CALL and ask them about the results or the next steps. Sometimes files get set aside or they missed reaching you & it gets delayed. Better to hear, no nothing to worry about or even "so glad you called, we have been trying to reach you".

Hoping they can treat the issues and you can get back to your normal.

Sorry I disappeared for so long, a lot has been happening irl. I'm still working through getting tested for a bunch of stuff that's been getting discovered and figured out. I'm on a couple of meds right now to deal with some of it and waiting to see specialists for other things. I'm sad I missed out on the bunny stuff from this year's easter event. I hope everyone's been doing alright while I've been away.
