Path To The Rookery

You stumble upon a winding jungle path leading to what appears to be some floating mountains, lush and streaked with bright colors.

A sign reads:
"Path to the Ikran Rookery"
"Be cautious!"

As soon as you walk past the sign, a young, light brown-haired man donning a mask, accompanied by an unearthly winged animal, blocks your path.
"Uh, no, bud. You've never set foot here before. It's dangerous up ahead, and you're not ready to take the Flight Of Passage... Yet."

As you turn around, you ponder what he said.
Who was that?
What's the Flight Of Passage?
What on Windlyn was that four-winged creature?
What's so important about those mountains?

Maybe, once you understand this whole thing, you can take that Flight Of Passage...
And, if the Flight involves one of those peculiar animals, maybe you can claim one...
